Step 3, Secure Packing: breathable wraps, nursery trays, and anti-tip straps safeguard delicate stems during the quick 8-mile drive to Tempe balconies or longer routes to Glendale backyards. Step 4, Smooth Delivery: upon arrival we reassemble planter stands, wipe leaves, and position greenery exactly where you want it. Step 5, Follow-Up: a 24-hour check-in ensures every leaf looks as lively as when it left.
Tight stairwells in downtown Phoenix lofts, unpaved backyard paths in Gilbert, or last-minute greenhouse clear-outs in Pheonix suburbs—we have seen it all. Our plant movers rely on narrow-body dollies, extendable ramps, and humidity monitors to overcome each obstacle while keeping roots stable. Need a 200-pound ceramic pot lifted from a second-story patio? We arrive with portable hoists and a three-person crew. Sudden summer storms? Our waterproof tarps and secured vent holes prevent heat shock and overwatering. Because we bill by the hour with no fuel or stair surcharges, you receive expert problem-solving without surprise fees. That’s why homeowners and interior designers across Glendale and Scottsdale call A to B Movers for delicate, high-value greenery.
While we are known as the Valley’s go-to plant movers, our fully licensed crews can manage entire household or office relocations in a single visit. Pair your leafy load with professional packing for artwork, or schedule residential moving for furniture and appliances. Business owner? Our commercial moving team dismantles cubicles and server racks, then positions living walls to greet employees the next morning. Need only muscle? Book our labor-only loading help. From single orchids to entire atrium collections, one reliable crew handles it all and spares you the headache of multiple vendors.
We specialize in safely loading and unloading your belongings, ensuring every item is handled with precision for a smooth and hassle-free move.
From packing to transportation, our full-service local moving solutions make relocating in Phoenix, Mesa, and Scottsdale stress-free.
Our professional packaging and crating services protect fragile and valuable items, offering secure solutions tailored to your unique moving needs.
Plants feel every bump. That’s why we map sun-protected, low-traffic corridors from Chandler’s Ocotillo district to Gilbert’s Agritopia using real-time GPS data. By timing departures before the I-10 afternoon heat surge and avoiding construction around State Farm Stadium in Glendale, we keep truck interiors at plant-friendly temperatures. Rest stops? We choose shaded lots and check soil moisture every 30 minutes. This local insight slashes transit times, reduces jostling, and protects fragile blossoms like orchids or sago palms. Whether your move is a four-mile hop within Tempe or a cross-Valley journey to northern Scottsdale, our desert-savvy routing keeps green life thriving door to door.
Our movers aren’t seasonal day laborers—they’re vetted horticulture enthusiasts who understand the difference between a fiddle-leaf fig and a mature monstera. Each team member completes 40 hours of training on pruning, pest inspection, and temperature management before handling customer items. Uniformed, background-checked, and insured, they arrive with clean gloves and a respectful attitude that Valley families appreciate. When grandma’s 20-year-old lemon tree travels from Mesa to Chandler, we know it’s more than a houseplant—it’s a memory. That empathy drives us to treat every pot like our own garden, earning us 2026 Top-Rated Mover recognition in Phoenix.
We keep pricing simple: you pay an hourly rate that scales with crew size—no extra fees for fuel, stairs, heavy ceramic pots, or shrink wrap. Before your greenery leaves the porch, we calculate total time and lock in your cost, so the final invoice matches the quote. Typical single-home plant moves in Tempe average two movers at $159 per hour, while large greenhouse relocations in Gilbert often require three movers at $199 per hour. Release value protection of $0.75 per pound is automatically included, and we’ll gladly coordinate full-value coverage through Baker International or MovingInsurance.com at your request.

Below you’ll find answers to the questions Valley residents ask most about transporting live plants. If you don’t see your concern covered, drop us a line—we love talking soil, sunlight, and safe logistics.
We secure each pot inside a plastic nursery tray, top dress the soil with breathable burlap, and wrap the container base in stretch film. This creates a seal that prevents displacement yet allows oxygen exchange, so your cactus or fern arrives upright with the root system undisturbed and completely healthy.
Early morning pickups between 6 am and 9 am are ideal. Temperatures are lower, truck bays remain cool, and desert winds are calmer. We plan routes the night before and stage equipment, so loading is finished before mid-day sun peaks, protecting foliage from dehydration and thermal shock through our precisely timed service.
Yes. Our standard release value protection provides $0.75 per pound coverage at no cost. For high-value bonsai, we facilitate full-value insurance through Baker International or MovingInsurance.com. We’ll document each tree’s condition and value beforehand, so your miniature masterpiece is protected from root to delicate canopy through our meticulous claims guidance.
Absolutely. Our 24-7 on-call team keeps one truck free for emergency bookings. With portable grow-lights, adjustable straps, and breathable covers in inventory, we can arrive within two hours, stabilize the fiddle leaf’s trunk, and relocate it without bending stems or damaging glossy leaves even on busy summer Fridays across Glendale.
Water lightly 24 hours prior, allowing moisture to distribute without creating heavy, leak-prone pots. Remove decorative stones or accessories that could rattle, label any special care notes, and clear a path from the doorway to the plants. That’s it—we’ll handle pruning, wrapping, and loading on arrival with zero extra effort.
